The ABF engine never arrived on North American shores, making "ABF" engine components highly sought after by enthusiasts. In 2005, iABED Industries took on the challenge of securing the VW827 Non-AC alternator setup, manufacturing any unavailable components in-house. Since then, we have supplied over 900 VW827 Non-AC alternator kits (commonly known as ABF kits) to enthusiasts worldwide. Our setup bolts up to practically any VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda pre-1999 water-cooled VW827 4-cylinder engine block.

Previous versions of the kit used the ABA crankshaft accessory pulley (037105243A) with rear machining for 16V engines. Since this part is no longer available, we now use the 1.8T 20V 06A crankshaft accessory pulley and supply a spacer to bring the pulleys into the same plane. 8V engines require a 12.2mm spacer, and 16V engines require a 6.2mm spacer. Please select your engine when ordering.
